Faster, Safer, Smarter: Operations underway at Moorebank Regional Distribution Centre
In October, a significant milestone was reached with the Moorebank Regional Distribution Centre (MoRDC) receiving its very first carton, officially marking the commencement of operations at this state-of-the-art facility.
Behind this feat is years of planning and hard work, with the new site a major step forward for our supply chain network and, crucially, for our partnership with valued suppliers.
As our store network grows to serve more customers across Australia, the onset of the MoRDC looks to expand our capabilities across our supply chain. Equipped with cutting-edge logistics technology, and purpose-built to accommodate impressive scale, ensuring we can meet rapidly increasing customer demand efficiently.
Two weeks after the arrival of the very first carton, the Moorebank Regional Distribution Centre reached another milestone; sending out its very first carton to store. The very first carton was packed with precision, utilising technology to build aisle-specific, store-friendly pallets that can be moved from receiving docks to supermarket shelves faster, and with much less manual handling.
