Building a better tomorrow, together
Building a better tomorrow, together
Sustainability isn’t an aspiration – it’s how we do business. And the greatest impact we can have for our communities and the planet comes when we work together.
Today, we’re sharing our new Sustainability Plan, focused on delivering meaningful impact across five areas where we can make the biggest difference: Climate & Nature, Waste & Circularity, Human Rights, Social Impact, and Health & Nutrition. This plan is built on five years of learning, stakeholder insights, clear goals, and a fundamental belief that systemic change needs collective action. For our Trade Partners, that means shared challenges require shared solutions — and this plan is our roadmap for getting there, together. Here is a look at what we are working toward together:
Key goals at a glance:
;)
;)
Tackling emissions and nature loss
;)
;)
Driving waste and circularity
;)
;)
Advancing human rights
;)
;)
Improving health and nutrition
Reaching our net zero goal by 2050 requires reducing scope 3 emissions – and that work happens across our entire value chain. Transitioning packaging to include an average of 30% recycled content by F30 requires collaboration on materials and design. Repurposing more than 90% of our food surplus means tackling food loss before it reaches our stores.
We’re committed to turning these ambitions into actions alongside you – collaborating to find practical solutions that balance commercial viability with meaningful impact. We’re also evolving how we recognise that commitment. Our new human rights supplier scorecard moves beyond minimum compliance, acknowledging and supporting suppliers who are actively investing in worker livelihoods and supply chain transparency.
Our previous plan delivered over $2.6 billion in net societal benefit over five years. This next chapter builds on that momentum — sharper in focus, deeper in partnership. Read our full Sustainability Plan here.
