Celebrating Our Latest Innovations: This Quarter’s New Products
The past three months have been a period of significant growth and innovation for our Own Brands.
We are thrilled to celebrate the successful launch of numerous new products to the Australian market that have enriched our offerings and continued to meet the evolving needs of our valued customers.

Product Spotlights
We’re excited to shine a light on a few standout products that have quickly become customer favourites.
Caramelised Biscuit Lamington
We celebrated National Lamington Day with the release of our limited edition Caramelised Biscuit Lamington in late June. Our lamington was the culmination of a viral flavour profile blended with a classic, Aussie icon. This product was developed with best-in-class benchmarking against independent bakeries to enhance quality for our customers. Classic soft sponge was perfectly coated in caramelised biscuit and bursting with subtly-spiced, warm flavours of caramel and cinnamon. This product became a viral moment, with 35,000 units flying off shelves within the first two weeks of launch.

New and Improved Ready Meals
Our customers spoke, and we listened! In July, 12 new and improved Ambient Ready Meal products hit our shelves, in response to feedback from our customers and Bunchees. This feedback informed a clear direction for our reformulations to ensure improved texture, visual appeal and increased content, improved overall texture including fluffier rice, firm veggies and creamy, thick sauces, and incorporation of authentic flavour profiles.
This range was also developed using new chef benchmark recipes to ensure quality was at the forefront of this launch. Targeting busy customers on the go, these meals are the perfect, quick heat-and-eat solution.



Taking The Cake
Take magical celebrations to new heights with our new Yasmin the Unicorn and Leo the Lion novelty cakes. Leo boasts a delicious chocolate sponge, and Yasmin shines with a soft vanilla sponge – both with creamy buttercream frosting. We’ve included all the decorations our customers need to bring these special characters to life, allowing them to hand-finish their creations for that extra special touch.
These cake kits are the first of their kind to launch in the Australian market, and have generated incredible levels of excitement amongst families with birthday parties on the horizon. Our cakes were benchmarked against independent bakeries to achieve a moist, tender and soft cake texture (made from a scratch mix sponge), and a cream cheese buttercream that takes the edge off traditional sugar-laden frostings.
Christmas Is Coming!
The first sprinklings of Christmas cheer landed in stores at the end of August, and alongside some of our customer’s favourite classics (like mince pies and pudding) comes the launch of our brand new Chocolate Hazelnut and Caramelised Biscuit Tarts.
Both tarts speak to trend-focused entertaining, developed off the back of much-loved flavour profiles. Chocolate lovers can indulge in chocolate hazelnut ganache, and caramelised biscuit fiends can savour the warmth of caramel and cinnamon notes – all beautifully encased in golden, shortcrust pastry.
