At Woolworths, we know that your products are more than just inventory – they are the result of your passion, heritage, and hard work. But the journey from your gate to the customer’s basket requires a strategic ally. That’s where Primary Connect comes in.

As the beating heart of the Woolworths Group supply chain, Primary Connect acts as the vital link between your production line and the 4.5 million customers we serve every day. Whether you are an artisan producer in a regional hub or a large-scale FMCG partner, Primary Connect ensures your brand reaches communities across the country – from our bustling metropolitan flagships to the smallest rural towns.

To better support your growth and uphold our shared commitment to the customer, we are proud to unveil a suite of strategic infrastructure upgrades at the Perth Regional Distribution Centre (PRDC). These enhancements represent our ongoing commitment to optimising operations, increasing capacity, and ensuring a safer, smoother environment for all our supply partners.

Key infrastructure improvements:

Key infrastructure improvements include the expansion of ambient and temperature-controlled (TC) facilities, alongside modern transport hubs. Suppliers will benefit from an ambient extension designed to support a productive supply of 1,000 additional SKUs. To facilitate range expansion, we have also introduced over 750 extra pick slots, including more than 185 dedicated to Confectionery.

New technologies:

Newly commissioned rooms for both bananas and avocados ensure the freshest produce reaches our customers.

New container de-stuffing capabilities and a significant expansion of truck and trailer parking

27 trailer and 34 prime mover spaces added, which are already actively reducing site congestion.

Site safety remains a priority, evidenced by the installation of improved pedestrian crossing points and updated traffic management. As we begin expansion works on the Returns Transfer Facility (RTF), please be aware that the main driveway width will temporarily reduce from 12m to 6m.
