Five years of impact: Reaching our Sustainability Goals
Five years of impact: Reaching our Sustainability Goals
This year we’ve reached an important milestone – the completion of our Woolworths Group Sustainability Plan 2025. This achievement represents not just our commitment to doing better, but the power of what we can accomplish when we work together towards shared goals.
Through our collective efforts across People, Planet and Product goals we’ve delivered an estimated $2.6 billion in net societal benefit. These results stem from our work together on initiatives in the areas of hunger and food waste, healthier choices, decarbonisation, plastics and packaging, and human rights.
None of this would have been possible without our partners and their commitment to these initiatives – helping us create meaningful change in the communities and environments where we operate. Together, we’ve proven that business can have a positive impact.

No-Deforestation Policy update
As we shared earlier in the year, we have set a goal to achieve deforestation-free supply chains. First issued in February 2025, we have since published an update to our Group No-deforestation Policy. This update reflects feedback from our engagement with suppliers, provides clarity on our approach to beef and details additional pathways to compliance for other commodities within the scope of our goal including cocoa, palm oil, soy, and paper, pulp and timber.
We acknowledge the target date for the implementation of our policy is the end of 2025 and we will continue to work with you to transition your products to deforestation-free status as soon as commercially and technically available. Please read the updated policy and guidance and engage your Woolworths contact to discuss any questions you may have in the new year as we work towards this goal together.
