A step forward in online order capacity and customer convenience

Woolworths has officially opened its first Automated Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Auburn, NSW, marking a major milestone in the expansion of online grocery fulfilment. Located in Western Sydney, the Auburn CFC spans 22,000 square metres, equivalent to the size of CommBank Stadium, and is equipped with sophisticated automation technology that increases fulfilment, accuracy, safety, and overall efficiency. The facility is now capable of processing up to 60,000 online orders per week, significantly enhancing Woolworths’ capacity to serve one of its fastest-growing online catchments.

The site has the capacity to employ more than 600 team members and is designed to deliver improved customer experiences through streamlined fulfilment and delivery operations. Auburn also features Woolworths’ largest Direct to Boot facility, with 16 dedicated bays, offering customers greater flexibility and convenience when choosing to collect their orders.
